You can use the Accel coils with the Dyna S. The Dyna S does not need an igniter so you're off the hook there.1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.

And, as Chef said, check your battery voltage while running - you're not testing the battery, you're checking the charging system!1978 GS 1000 (since new)

Measure the resistance of the coils. All you need is a multimeter.
I know that accel makes coils for CDI bikes that are .7ohms. You want the 3 ohm coils for your bike. It's very possible the PO installed the wrong coils and then cooked the ignitor.

I have read about it a bunch and still it didnt work so I must be using the meter wrong. I have a 200, 2000 and some other numbers under the ohms area on my multimeter so what do I do?
