cheep chain? has it had the 530 conversion yet? new chain old sprockets is a very bad mix if the sprockets are worn.

I,ve found that when I put a new chain and sprockets on, the chain stretches for a bit and needs constant adjustment for about 500 to 600 miles. Then it'll settle down and only need adjusting periodically.Toward the end of it's life,it'll need adjusting olmost every ride. How many miles have you got up since you fitted the new gear? I run my chain slightly on the tight side , for no other reason than the bike seems to like it like that.At the "proper" tension , gear changes are a bit notchy and I have trouble finding neutral.I typically change chain and sprockets at about 12,000 + miles.Cheers,Simon.Last edited by simon kuether; 05-18-2009, 05:26 PM.http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/h...esMapSimon.jpg
