maybe someone can help me out with this,replaced the chain and spockets,but the chain still gets loose to fast,was told maybe chain needs replace or was over tighten ,checked both thats not the problem?

Uh...what is your idea of loose? There should be about an inch of play WITH THE RIDER ON IT in the chain just around the midpoint in the distance between the rear axle and the pivot for the swingarm. Is it looser than that?

Yes Chris has tighten it a few times but after a few days of riding its loose again

Sounds like either the axle nut isnt tight enough, or the adjusters are missing a bolt, or are stripped out...

Thank you I will let him know just thought Id ask and see if anyone had an idea,I know its bugging him and he checked everything else..

cheep chain? has it had the 530 conversion yet? new chain old sprockets is a very bad mix if the sprockets are worn.

I,ve found that when I put a new chain and sprockets on, the chain stretches for a bit and needs constant adjustment for about 500 to 600 miles.Then it'll settle down and only need adjusting periodically.Toward the end of it's life,it'll need adjusting olmost every ride.How many miles have you got up since you fitted the new gear? I run my chain slightly on the tight side , for no other reason than the bike seems to like it like that.At the "proper" tension , gear changes are a bit notchy and I have trouble finding neutral.I typically change chain and sprockets at about 12,000 + miles.Cheers,Simon.
