I dont have my manual on me, its late....does anyone know the two fork diameters offhand? (say, 1980 models)

looking into the fork brace thing, and just need to figure out if I can work me up a fork brace thatll fit.

I'm 99.9% sure it's a 37mm. All the larger GS's seem to be, right up to the 1150. The 750 is a 35mm (as are the other smaller models).

The only exception i think is the GK, but im not POSSITIVE. I think it had 40mm forks? and the spacing was a bit wider or some such...my former GK has an 850 front clip on it after Grandpa had an incident with a pesky deer, so I wouldnt be able to check..but perhaps one of the GK owners would be able to confirm?

I believe he wants to know if a fork brace for the 850G model will fit an 850L model....

He has a stock L but there isn't a brace listed for that....
