    Hi,

According to the GS1100GL Owner's Manual on my site:

Fork oil capacity = 245 ml or 8.28 oz.

    Thank you for your indulgence,

    BassCliff

Of course, that only tells you about how much oil you need to buy.

More properly, you should add enough oil to provide the proper level in the forks.

The bad part about that is that you have to remove the springs, compress the forks all the way and hold them vertical to measure the level properly.

          .
If you have a roof beam you can raise the rear end of the bike to do this, otherwise the forks have to come out.
