80 head on 79 gs1000
I can't find it with the search feature so here goes will a '80 GS1000 head fit on a 79 GS1000 ???Tags: None

The head will bolt on, but as stated by rphillips, the intake system is different. The CV carb head has larger intake ports so it should make more power if you are building a hot rod.Ed

The head off of a GS1000G will also fit on your bike Dave. The same thing about the carbs as for the '80 1000E though, all the 1000G and 1100G models used CV style carbs.sigpic
