    Fuel Gauge OHMS for 550EFF?

Can someone please tell me what the book lists as the OHMS for the Fuel Gauge?

I'm going with a custom gauge panel setup and want to keep my fuel level gauge......going with a custom gauge but need to know what is listed as the OHMS....

    Thanks,

    Paul

no prob and also the ohm reading will change throughout the sweep of the float.

I see that its listed as 6 ohms empty and 97 ohms full........

all I can find is a 0 empty/90 full.....I may try this one and make it work

or find the correct resistors and just wire in the proper resistors to match the new gauge.....

that should be close being that the scale is about the same, just shifted. you could change that with a 6ohmish resistor inline with it

that's my biggest question.......what do the stock resistors look like?

they arnt resistors the float in the tank is a big variable resistor you would just add a resistor to shift the scale and its pretty close its almost a plug and play

if you look at the diagram it shows the float in the tank then shows a 6/97 ohm resistor later in the wiring harness.........

                              32.5 is 1/2
