a little wire help
I disconnected my turn signals to paint the tail piece. I forget which wire is right and which is left. I can't find my manual. Can somebody look and see what color is which for a 79 gs 1000? ThanksTags: None

About the easiest repair you can do.....you know which wires are involved, so turn on the ignition, push the turn switch to either left or right. Get a good bulb and hold the wire tight on the metal bulb base, then touch the middle bulb contact to ground. If it lights up you know it matches the switch setting. If not, the wire matches that setting. Change the switch setting and you will be certain.Bertrand Russell: 'Men are born ignorant, not stupid. They are made stupid by education.'

Thanks. I would have just turned the signals on as suggested but I neglected to mention that I need a new battery and that is the last thing I am going to buy before getting it inspected this year. The old one is toast.

There is also a wire that seems to have no home back there. I think it was yellow and green but I'll have to look again. Is there suppose to be such a wire?
