I replaced the Clutch springs (red bolts are PO local shop says they will be fine)

When I put the clutch back together it did not work. The bike will shift without pulling on the clutch which causes problems when you cant work the clutch and throttle properly.

I took it back apart and noticed the Clutch release Rack has a lot of play in it.

I belive I put it back together properly???

Any Ideas I have searched fro this problem in the forums but I can not locate any thing on it.

I thought I was finished putting her back together today and was going to take her a a test ride only to find the clutch does not operate.

Thanks again for all of your help.

Are you sure you installed the proper number of plates? One other thing to check is to make sure the plates are all engaged with the splines on the clutch basket

I think youre missing a snap ring around that shaft.

That picture is an E and when I looked at the parts diagram at Alpha Sports it does not show the snap ring on a GK.

Make sure the gears from the pull out gear are meshing with the gears on the cover.
The actuator lever is on a piston and you can change the position of the lever on the splines. Take it off and move it one spline away from the cable or until you have a good clutch lever feel.
There are two adjustments. One on the crankcase and one one at the clutch lever.

So what is the best way to put the side cover so I can set my self up to better do this?

Make sure the gear on the pull out is facing left and rotate the lever so it pulls the cover towards the crankcase.
