Ok I'm at a loss here. just went out and synced my carbs. The crappy ass gauges i have for doing so are saying that they are synced but i still have a cold pipe and it dont run worth a crap. I have already done my valves , and they are all in spec. Is there anyone around me that could come over with a good sync tool and help me diagnose these carbs. As per my post the other day i had it running and then the next day it wouldnt run. Any one out there that could lend themselves to me would be greatly appreciated.I didnt do it I swear !!

One other way to synch the carbs is to use a drill shank as a feeler gauge. You open up the throttle a little and close it (WITHOUT ANY TENSION) and use the drill shanks to check the throttle plate openings against the venturi. I have used this method and checked it with carb sticks and was surprised to see how accurate it ias. If your motor is worn out and there is different vaccuum on the intakes then obviously this will not work, but it will get you there if at least not real close.

Hi,
Is there another thread in which we can find some history of your issue and everything you've done to correct it? When a new thread gets started every time a different question is asked about the same set if issues, the history is much less convenient to find.
Are both cylinders sparking?
Thank you for your induglence,
BassCliff
