Big T, anything in particular I should photograph? I think I'm going need alot of help getting this bike running.

Furthermore I do not have a starter disconnect switch as per your wiring diagram (I only have the 'kill' switch and the starter buttons on the right handlebars).

I beleive the starter disconnect switch is in the clutch lever on US models, so you have to pull the clutch lever in to start the bike.
I think some European models did not have this, so it is possible Canadian ones did not either.
Wiring harnesses often have the wires in them even if the optional equipment is not fitted (one size fits all).

Here are a couple of pics of the bike. I figured out that the starter switch is for US and Canada models but the previous owner eliminated it (I don't even have it on the left handlebar) so I'll do the same. I still can't figure out why I have the extra wire on the ignition switch. I took the switch out and saw that all wires have a position numbered on the switch. Since I don't remember how they were wired can somebody maybe tell me how to wire them to the harness by position,

I also realized that I have an extra wire coming out of the gear position indicator. In addition to the ones that are in the wiring diagram I also have a greeen with red tracer one. Is that the ground? Wiring diagram indicates that the indicator is grounded but I did not think that it could be a colored wire.

OK no suggestions for the previous questions so I'll try a new one. I removed the entire wiring harness and cleaned and cleaned it. Now it's back on the bike and I am testing the wires (something I did not do before removal). I am not getting any power to the turn signals. Is it because I do not have a turn signal relay? The bike did not come with one so I assumed I did not need one.

Grounds - always solid colors and the same color thruout

Flasher - yes, you need one. It probably hooks to the upper left corner of your electrical panel and connects with a V shaped plug ( I could be wrong, so check the wiring diagram)

No power to signals - IF you're testing at the turn signal, or its connection no flasher means incomplete circuit

Sadly, this is not always true.

Many times, the ground wire might be white with a black stripe or black with a white stripe.
On other bike brands, I have also seen green wires with varying colored stripes for ground.
Can't even count on a solid black wire, as the 'hot' wire for the left turn signal is a solid black wire.

I checked and I was sooo wrong

Your flasher unit is rectangular box at the lower left of the electrical panel.
