New wire Harness 1983 GSX 1100E

Hey guys if this is answered already then sorry i did not see it in my search. Iam needing some advice on a problem with the installation of a new wire harness. I purchased a new wire harness from Suzuki (OEM) part# 36610-49500 and have replaced the old bad cut one with the new one everything went fine the only issue i have is the plug for the flasher relay the box that hangs from the hook right above the starter solenoid and just to the left of the main fuse block that is on the side panel is a different size. The old one is narrow and long and the new one is smaller and more square. Was this a change that Suzuki made and is there a fix for it ( a new box with a part# that supersedes the old one or an wire plug adapter) any direction to help me fix this will be greatly appreciated.

Solder the old plug on the harness with shrink wrap.

      Greetings and Salutations!!

      Hi Mr. bert5694,

There's a chance that a $5 off-the-shelf generic electronic flasher will fit in that socket. If not, it shouldn't be difficult to follow Mr. chef1366's suggestion. But actually, the reason I called was to give you your very own magical, mystical, mythical, mind-expanding "mega-welcome"!

Here is your official "mega-welcome". Please take notice of the "Top 10 Common Issues", the Carb Rebuild Series, and the Stator Papers. Now let me roll out the welcome mat for you...

Thanks for the help and the welcome

I read what you guys posted for me and think i have came up with the solution based totaly on your advice you guys chef1366 and BassCliff gave me. ( YOU GUYS ARE GREAT AND DESERVE A LOT OF CREDIT) from what i can tell the plugs are the same with the exception of one wire on the old plug there is a black\w (ground) and the new one is missing this. I think i can go to cycle recyclerII and get a oem 6 prong plug and make a plug adaptor and just add the black\w wire as this is a bult in the plug ground and add it as a separate ground I will let you know how this works when i get it done.
