It doesn't really stand for anything other than it's a model designation - on the early GS's, the E was the sporty model. Suzuki's E model bikes tended to be trimmed to a higher level with things like mag wheels and dual front discs on the 550/750/1000. In the case of your 450, the E has mag wheels and a different tank/seat/tail. There might be other things that are different but these are some of the obvious differences.Ed

Thank you for your fast response. I was curious because my 450e is so much faster then any other 450 i have ever ridden. My friend has an 01 honda shadow 750 and my 450e blows it away off the line and in top end...just thought that shouldnt be. So I was wondering if the e series were geared diffrent then others. I love my gs.

No disrespect, just the way it is.And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!
