    Carb "Farts" on #1 cylinder

Number one cylinder "farts" intermittently. Technically, I suppose it is a backfire, not flame source present. Since I run only velocity stacks, I can actually see a fuel mist exit the carb. Only #1 cyl does it, so I do not think it is ignition related. Typically it does it at idle and sometimes when snapping throttle shut

Shortly after, I get a backfire in the exhaust. Any thoughts??

77 GS750 /4-1 / 29 smoothbores (freshly built) with velocity stacks / new O-rings, boots, fuel filter, etc... that is all new.

jetting: 20 pilots/ 122.5 mains/ +/- 1 turn on fuel screw with std 29 needle in middle position.

Too rich on one of the circuits...likely the pilot..but could be because of some crap that got in em thru those velocity stacks...

Well, that's better than a tight valve. and a heck of a lot easier fix.

I like my Velocity stacks !!!! Plus, I gave this motor an End of Life date of Dec 15, 2009...

It's a soft date... I am currently restoring a GPZ1100 and should it finished and I'll be in the midst of building an 8V 1100 for 'zuk. I figure, by 12/15, the current motor will have seen its final ride.
