    oil leak

Still leaking oil from the cam shaft cover. My gasket kit did not include the half moon rubber plugs. I think I must need new ones?

You could try a bit of RTV on them to see if they will seal.

If they're the original ones (or really old) I'd get new ones.

Z1 sells generic aftermarket ones much cheaper than OEM. I've used them on 2 bikes without issues.

Z1 Enterprises specializes in quality Motorcycle parts for Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha Classic Japanese motorcycles from the 1970's and 1980's.

I do however, spread a very light layer of black permatex gasket goop on the 1/2 moon cutouts before installing the rubbers plugs.

Good luck & welcome to the forum...

You can try to turn them inside out and/or use some RTV.

Just remember if you get too crazy with the RTV it has a chance to get INSIDE the valve cover gasket and get circulated with the engine oil........
