Still leaking oil from the cam shaft cover. My gasket kit did not include the half moon rubber plugs. I think I must need new ones?

You could try a bit of RTV on them to see if they will seal. -
If they're the original ones (or really old) I'd get new ones.
Z1 sells generic aftermarket ones much cheaper than OEM. I've used them on 2 bikes without issues.
I do however, spread a very light layer of black permatex gasket goop on the 1/2 moon cutouts before installing the rubbers plugs.

You can try to turn them inside out and/or use some RTV.
Just remember if you get too crazy with the RTV it has a chance to get INSIDE the valve cover gasket and get circulated with the engine oil........Comment
