What is the difference between a two stroke silencer and a four stroke silencer? :?

Quite a bit. Two strokes rely on the exhause pulses as part of exhaust scavenging, along with port timing etc, to produce power in combination with the engine. A two stroke can die with the wrong exhaust on. On four strokes it is still important, but not as critical. Heard of the expression when a two strokes "comes on pipe"?

Two stroke tuning and exhausts can be a black art compared with four strokes.

Were you thinking of trying to fit a silencer from a two stroke onto your bike???

I came across a glasspack megaphone on a two stroke that I really like the sound of, low, mellow, a hum of hidden power. I was considering it for my bike as I really like the sound.
