    dynojet to mikuni converion factor

    i have some dynojet 90 mains, what would that be in mikuni approx?

    Multiply by .937 and it will give you a CLOSE Mikuni number... Or is it divide the DJ by point 937 to get the MIC equivellent...Oh crud...BILLLLLL!!!

      That's pretty close to a Mikuni 85.

        or if you go the other way, close to a 95... I just cant remember if you get the Mikuni if you times the DJ by .937 or if you get the DJ if you times the Mikuni..... Im tired...

          Dynojet numbers tend to be larger than Mikuni numbers.

            90 x .9375=84.375

            1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
            1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

              Oh yeah....Like I said, im tired...

              BTW, Steve, it appears that I will be helping Dogma rebuild the top end on HIS 850...You care if I borrow your fancy valve spring compressor?? I still havent made myself one yet, and I refuse to pay the 200 plus or whatever Z1 and others are asking for one..

                    so why would a dyno jet kit have smaller than stock jets in it? My jets are according to suzuki i think 105 and 95 and according to the actual mukini numbers 97.5 and 90.

                      The Dynojet kits have different jet needles and sometimes tap in a main air jet correcter. They also drill the slides.
                      All this changes the picture a bit.
                      I've never installed a Stage 1 kit so I've also wondered why the jets are smaller than stock.
