cafe racer
building a cafe from a 80 gs750, doing well so far just looking for ideas, want to eliminate side panels but clean up all the electrics especially on left side. relocating fuse box/regulator etc. looking for any good ideas if anyone done this before. haven't got new seat yet, thought of attaching to underside of it but may cause issues if ive got to remove the seat.Tags: None

There are some threads on Cafes, and some guys have done what youre talking about. Usually, they build a pan for the stuff to sit on that is mounted to the frame and sits under the cafe "hump" in the seat...

appreciate. i kinda figured that would be best just gotta get a little innovative as my only concern we be abilty ro remove seat easily. but as its more appearance that im going for the function may suffer a little.

Well, a cafe SHOULD be function over form IMO, as thats traditionally what they were all about. HOWEVER, they can look dead sexy doin the ton too...
Just remember, that on those electrics you're planning on moving, the R/R is part of that set up. It needs to have air flow, or it will cook. If it cooks, you'll have lots of problems...
