    head interchangeability

    can i use a 1980 Suzuki GS 1000 G head on my 1978 GS1000
are the intake boots interchangeable and so on and what are the differences between them ??
also is there anyone here that can port and polish it if i send it to them

I know the chain drive 1980 head will have bigger intake ports, not sure about the shaftie though.
Dont think the boots will swap.
If you have the 1980 carbs it might work.
Sorry I think the postage might be a killer for me to clean the head up for you.
    Cheers

The 80 head will use CV carbs, yours will not. Im not even sure they are the same part number, tho I DO know that they both used the same head in 80 and on.

The head will bolt up, but as mentioned the intake system is different. My 1000 has a G head.
