    Tuning flatslide carbs

Our new friend littleroot has a drop dead gorgeous GS1100L. Some of you have seen his pictures. They are posted here in his signature. http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...d.php?t=142030

So Bob has these flatslide carbs, which look like a hot set up. But I know absolutely nothing about flatslides. If we were going to check the sync, with my Morgan Carbtune of course, what can we expect? Are there any special considerations we need to know?

    What say the GS Guru's?

I would guess the only thing to be sure of is which is the reference carb.

I saw his pics on the other post. Great looking shaftie, with racing carbs!!

They should be the same as the VM's, with all carbs balanced equally.
Has the PO got the jetting right for those pods? It can be difficult to vacuum
sync if the pilot mixtures aren't correct with the engine tending to hunt. The pumps can also affect the transition between the pilot and needle circuits.

Good luck and keep us posted.
