has anybody got the carb settings for a gs450L with what i think are a pair of mikuni bs34ss(?) carbs?. the only thing that seems to stand out is the fact that the jets seem to be built into the float bowl under the drain screw

Zero. I have a service manual for the 80-85 gs450l. currently own a 85 gs450l. I am having carb issues myself, took my carbs off and gave it to a mechanic friend to check my jets. I gave him the Service manual to make it easier on him, but if you still need the settings come monday let me know. I will have it back then and can scan the page for u and send it to you.Comment

There's nothing to set, aside from the float bowl height and the mixture screws (if the mixture screws aren't hidden). Otherwise it's just a matter of making sure everything is clean and the carb diaphragms are good.Comment
