    Is this a Supertrapp pipe??

That is what the PO told me anyways. But it doesn't have a name plate, so I am not sure.

Nope...never seen one like that though. SuperTrapp's have a set of diffuser discs that force the exhaust out around the edges, and a block off plate at the end. There is no visible "hole" into the exhaust unless you pull all of that stuff off the end. and then its pretty much just straight thru.

I agree too . . . Although someone added that Trapp horizontal plate to the baffle opening for some reason. Go figure

Well its not a supertrapp, but what is it then? I have never seen an exhaust like that on a GS before.

If you don't like how it sounds, repack it

                And it's not a Supertrapp

I have a pipe like that and theres a rod that goes in that plate in the end of the muffler that holds the discs on with a nut on the end of the closed cap. I dont know if its a very early Supertrapp or a home made conversion. The discs only have 1 hole in the center as does the end cap. The collector has major road rash but the header pipe is good. Theres no name on it anywhere

oki-dokie, it might be an older ST, because the po did say it had disc on it!

I've never owned a ST pipe but that looks like it may be the main pipe without the muffler attachment with the discs on it.

I dug it out & found everything but the bolt that goes in the plate. The discs are regular Supertrapp discs I remembered wrong. The end cap has 1 hole and there were 18 discs in it. I took some cell phone pics if anyone wants to see them. I dont know how to post them but if you send me an email address Ill send them to you. Its not home made, it was built that way as far as I can tell. It is the muffler not the main pipe. The rest is all built into the header. Thers another internal baffle but no packing that I can see
