    Can a 1100e engine fit in a gs750E frame

Just a silly question I'm looking to replace my 750e engine and a used part dealer can get me an 1100 engine with low km's as I need a piston job on my gs. Does anyone know if the 1100 will fit in the gs750E frame.

Yes, it will fit - they call it a 7-11. I'm not sure what exactly needs to be done but I think you need the 1100 motor mounts or you need to fabricate some new mounting plates - not sure. I'm sure someone will come along with more details or do a search.

Get the 1100 motor. It's a bolt in! Get the 1100 swingarm while you're at it. Ray.

the center bottem triangle mounts dont match up..
either dont worry about them or make some offset triangles and drill them to match the new engine/frame combination.
there is a front uprights cross brace missing on the 750's that will cause problems if making decent horsepower...simply add a piece of tube where it is missing.
you will need to open up the swingarm pivot holes in the frame to add an 1100 unit..no biggie.
