    Oil Pan Removal and replacement

Long story really short; I need to replace my oil pan.

Is this something I'm going to have to pull the engine out of the frame to do? I think it might be easier if the engine was pulled, but I really don't want to mess with all of that.

I'm thinking I can just drop my oil pan, but when I do, what is going to drop out of the engine?

The oil pan and all the parts are readily available because the GS500 in current production uses a lot of the same engine parts as my '83 GS450T, pretty interesting, eh?

The oil pan will come right off after you remove the exhaust. Nothing will come off with the pan other than the gasket and maybe an O-ring.

I've tried to find CRC freeze stuff, but havn't had any luck. I'll go to wally world sometime this week.

I sprayed PB Blaster on the bolts last night.

Should I use my impact driver to loosen up the bolts? Hit them tight, hit them loose twice, hit them tight, hit them loose twice, hit them tight, that way it's working back and forth, but more forth than back.
