Ok so it wouldnt be in the wiring when i unhooked the ignition to have a key made and some 1 rewired the bike so i cant go off color code's was finetell had new key made but can understand if staor went out.

        Huh ??
So, you took the ignition out, had a new key made then had someone else rewire the ignition back in ? Or did someone rewire the bike before any of this happened ?
In either case, get a multimeter, go through the Stator Papers, as recommended, to diagnose your charging problems. It's the easiest and best way to figure it out. New key or not.....

I would also recommend using proper punctuation, it really helps when reading the typed word.

key switch removal not related to charging system

UNLESS you have some bare wires shorting out

I'd like to offer if the bike was re-wired and there is a way for water to get into the new harness that is a possible cause for the problems.

I'm dealing with a z-1 at the moment zapped stator from water inside the main harness sheath.

The main power goes thru the key switch so i would imagine it is possible that you had a good connection before and now have a poor connection via the key switch after removing it. Did you make yourself a little drawing before removing the switch to make sure you reconnected the wires in the right way ?
