    What are they?

I've got the tank off of my GS850 and I'm looking down at the tops of the CV carburaters and I see a small screw directly on the top of the carb body just before the boot--what am I looking at?

If that's the one you're asking about, the picture answers it.

By Jove, that's the one. Is there an initial setting for those screws?

On an otherwise stock GS850, these usually end up somewhere around 3 turns out.
