After a crap load of page searching about tanks...
Im still short a couple measurements for a tanks swap. I have a 1983 GS650GLD with that nice tiny tank. Now I understand that at 50ish MPG is good, more range would be better. From a few hours (no really, hours) of looking through threads about tank swaps, sizes and other such mind gooing stuff. I found that the GS 1100s share a few measurements with my 650. I have the out to out measurement of the front tank rubbers (3 15/16") and the center of the front rubbers to the center of the rear dual bolt mounts (22 1/2) and that the rear bolts are (4 7/8") Now the last is a little wider but with rubber spacer under between the tank and frame, a mount for that could be made easy peezy. What I dont have, besides the tank, are these. I need to know the width of the tunnel for a gs 1100. Any year and model, as long as these other measurements fit. And total length of the tank. I will most likey be having the seat redone but if the tank is entirely too long than Ill have to adjust for that. ThanksTags: None

How about depth of the tunnel? I don't have the measurements but SOMEONE HERE SHOULD CHIME IN as I know there are a few 1100 tanks on the bench in other projects.

If you think my measurements will be the same, I can try to get down tonight after I get back- probably around midnight or so.
You need the length, width, and height of the tube in the bottom side of the tank, right?
