GS1000E parts swapping with other models
A question: which parts from which other bikes you can put on a GS1000E (78-80) without ANY modifications, just bolt-on?
Exact model and year of the donor bike preferred as the exact title of the donated part.Last edited by Guest; 07-10-2009, 07:11 PM.Tags: None

You want us to tell you all the parts that exchange? How about narrowing it down some as to what kind of parts you need.Ed
To measure is to know.

Actually, my idea was to create sort of an archive for help to people who own these things. Anyone who ever successfully transplanted something off another bike is welcome to put in what they transplanted and from which bike it was. Things like: does an exhaust from a GS1100ED fit perfectly or just the header pipes. Which Honda's R/R is a bolt-on replacement for the stock Suzi R/R,...
Example of an input (made up in this case): last year I put a 79's Honda CB750F's R/R on my GS.
An archive built on personal experience of members here. Then perhaps we could start building an archive for other GS's.
That sort of thing.Last edited by Guest; 07-11-2009, 01:49 AM.
