      would the 3 digit # be on the back of a cylander shaped piece or on a flat peice with more letters

          On some of the GS models they had number printed on the seat lock, where it could be read by anyone. They changed that thankfully; no need to make life easier for thieves.

                ok on the ignition there like a cylander shape that starts at the top wear u put ur key in and then it goes to the bottum it was on the back of this
                is the # soposed to just have 3 digits or r there soposed to be letters also
