These are smaller in every measurement except the thickness. They do fit in the basket, but VERY loose. I remember vaguely seeing something on here before about someone who has had this. I just can't remember what they did, and can't find that thread. I'm gonna have to have a chat with Chris at Z1.

GS1000 new clutch plates. WRONG
I ordered the clutch plates off of Z1 that were listed for my GS. I went to change them out last night and came up with this:

Looks like they would work. What do you mean by the fit being "loose"?Ed

Inside diameter of the friction surface is smaller, the tabs around the outside are shorter, and not as wide. They don't fit nicely in the slots. I would imagine this would make a lot of driveline backlash and possibly cause problems with my clutch basket eventually. The originals fit in pretty snug, like they should.

The ID shouldn't make any difference but if the tabs on the outside are loose in the basket, I agree with you that they will add slop and they may hammer the basket. Yet another example of how aftermarket parts are a crap shoot. EBC seems to make a decent clutch so you might want to return those K&L parts and order a different brand.Ed
