wanted 1980 gs750 big bore kit
I am trying for the first time to upgrade my 1980 gs750e 4valve engine with a big bore kit but not sure how big I can go or where to purchase a kit to do this. If you have any ideas it would help a first timer.Tags: None

I know there is a bore kit for the 750 but I dont remember the cite some one will be along with that site im sure.
Another idea for this is putting the top end of a 850 on your 750 then basically you have an 850 cause the crank cases are the same.

Hey Big J...I just installed one of the APE manual tensioners in my KZ750. What a wonderfully simple piece of engineering. Very easy to install and adjust.

I installed the Wiseco k816 kit in mine (816cc's 3mm overbore) It raises compression and gives more displacement. Cost me about $1000 for the pistons and the overbore. If you can find an 1100 that would be the better way to go imo.

Just dropping in a big bore kit is only the beginning. You also have the issue of fuel (you'll need more of it) and breathing (probably head work..etc). Just get the 1100 and be done with it.
