Finding new Signal Generator for 1982 GS750e

My buddy and I have figured out that the 1982 GS750E that we're restoring has a bad signal generator.

Would you guys happen to know of a cheap place that carries it? Or would this Dyna S Ignition work for me?

Thank you much for your help as always guys.

Would I have to purchase anything besides the Dyna S Ignition system? I do believe my ignition coils are still good.

I don't like the stock coils but if they are good use them. They will work with the Dyna S.
If you have the money get the Dynatek green 3ohm coils.

Thank you very much for you help chef1366.

Is there a large difference between the Dyna S and the stock signal generator? I am quite scared of harming my new toy in anyway and I hope this thing doesnt cause any other problems to the electrical system.

Posplayr has a great wiring diagram for wiring in the Dyna S with a coil relay mod. You won't harm your baby. She'll love ya for it.

I just ordered a Dyna S myself. So no personal experience yet; it will arrive tomorrow but I'll have to wait until Sunday to install. Just thought I'd mention it's a bit cheaper at Z1 Enterprises, and they're great (as I hear is Dennis Kirk).
