    Go for it!

    I think you're chasing your tail....but, check out every possibility and let us know what you come up with! (By the way, I've had a dozen street legal bikes and I can't tell you how many of them burned the hell out of me.)

      Put 117.5s in for the main jets
      Take out the jet needle, take off the plastic spacer at the top and replace it with the same heigth of washers from Radio Shack and remove two to shim the needle.

        There is definitely some sort of problem if you are getting a sense that the normally-relatively-cool parts of the engine are radiating intense heat. I would suspect carburetion first and timing second and would stay away from aftermarket fixes like an oil cooler because those will not solve the root problem.

          Problem?

          Based upon what I've read here on the forum and my own experiences with my perfectly tuned 1100, I think if he has a problem, most people with 1100's have the same problem. The subject of very hot 1100's has come up a number of times over the years but I don't remember it with other models.
