Should I be oiling my Emgo pods before I install them? I'm trying to get the 80-gs 1100 16v to idle w/pods. If not, It's back to the airbox.

What are your adjustment screws set at?
IMO the emgo filters are trash.... you get what you pay for. The dont flow well, and they dont filter jack. You're better off buying a set of APE KN knockoffs for $60 than driving yourself crazy with the EMGO trash. I might get chastized here, but untill you get the bike to idle, DONT oil them. If youre jetted correctly, (especially with a DJ kit..you're gonna kick yourself later when you have to figure out why the stock needles dont work and it falls on its face in the midrange) it SHOULD start, and even RUN without ANY filters.. Heck, if you REALLY want pods, I have a set of nice KN i will trade ya for your air box

Yeh Josh, I'm thinking the Emgo's aren't worth the trouble. As for the K&N's. Let me see if I still have the air box.

I hate day shifts. Anyway, i havent been able to get to the UPS store before they close. Also, i dunno if you sent it with your paypal but do me a fav and PM me your shipping address to make sure I have it. Ive sent so many parts out the last couple weeks i dunno who is who anymore. Tried to keep track but im not that organized. Thankfully, my girl IS..heh. I actually sent a refund for a pair of side covers the dude ended up not wanting cos they wouldnt work to the wrong person. DOH!

I've had lots of parts shipped to me from the US and I've never had to pay any customs charges when shipped by USPS. My 2 cents.

on a suzuki GS with vaccum carbs...
with or without the airbox the idle should not change.
below 4k RPM's it is all idle circut.
since you increased the pilot jet size i would assume it is rich now in this range.
GS vaccum carbs will run without the slides even in them up to around 4k.
dynojet says you must have a stock idle circut before installing there kit.
if you are home building a jetkit then throw what im saying out the window.
i am not the jetkit fairy...just trying to save some people alot of headache's
and busted nuckles.
