suddenly wants to die on idle or low rpms?

I don't get to ride too often, last time I rode it was 2 weeks ago. Didn't have any problems like this.

Took the bike out to the store this afternoon and after I ride for a couple minutes, suddenly it wants to die on idle and when I take off in low rpms it sputters like its getting no fuel.

I hadn't had this problem last time I rode. It runs fine in the high rpm range and pulls hard - doesn't feel like it's starving at all.

What do you think? Carb related?

The bike is probably angry that you left it in the garage all alone, unridden for 2 weeks

Worse yet, it was outside!! I know, I need to find more time. But not being able to use it for work, 2 young boys, a hot wife , and everything else life has going on...makes it tough. I would love to use it more though.

        Hi,

Maybe a good dose of Seafoam will help. Check the charging system.

        Thank you for your indulgence,

Since it was sitting outside could it have gotten water in the gas tank

It's been covered by a brand new cover the whole time, so I'll say no.

I've been running b12 chemtool through it as well. Can't remember if I have any in this tank, but I have been adding some to the gas usually when I fill up.

This seems to be a little sporadic. Sometimes I have an issue and sometimes I don't. I took the bike out today after it sat for about a week and a half. Started up with full choke fine, alot of white smoke initially. Without the choke on it would die unless I was giving it throttle. I turned the idle screw up a tad and it helped a bit, but still wanted to die. The only thing that changed by messing with the idle screw was that the idle would begin to hang or climb after revving in neutral or with the clutch in. I had it out for a good 20 minutes or so and it pulled well fine above 2k rpms all the way through the range. Under 2k rpm it wanted to sputter some and hesitate and on idle it would eventually die unless I gave it throttle.

She doesn't do this every time I take it out, just randomly. Is this a symptom of a carb related problem or something else?
