Petcock Identification Needed...

Ok...here is a pic of what the petcock looked like on my "new" tank...the previous owner sent this pic to me this morning. Its obviously not vacuum operated, and the pickup tube is definitely offset.

Does anyone know if a Z1 model will fit in its place? I'm still waiting for a reply from them about it.

That IS a vaccum petcock. The early style ones. I have a couple of those on 750 tanks. The z1 ones are supposed to be OEM replacement, and as long as the bolt spacing is the same, they will work just fine. Only problem i have ever had is the one I ordered for one of my 750 tanks ended up having the nozzles facing the wrong way. Not a huge deal because there was more than enough room on the 750, but i could see it being a problem on a larger motor where space is at a premium. Especially with the airbox and everything on.. Jeff will hook you up bro.

OK..gotcha! He replied back and said they will have something to fit it, so I'm going to stop out there Monday with my tank. I'm not too concerned about the hose/inlet placement, as I have pod filters, and plenty of clearance on either side..so..Thanks for the insight!
