    Razzel sound.

Have just adjusted my valves,Now it reads 0.10mm at all 16 valves. But when i start the engine ,there is a higher razzel sound under the valve-cover than before. All adjusters are tightend so the cant be a loose nut.
Maybe the valve cover is tightend too hard so the cam guide in top of the cover push hard on the chain??????????Cant find any torqe settings for the cover in my manual.

My service manual for my '81 GS750L (16 valve) specifies the cylinder head cover torque at 0.9 - 1.0 kg/m.

I had a similar problem when re-fitting the cover on a 750ET recently.
It sounded like the camchain was making contact directly with the metal of the cover.
It turned out that the problem was the chain being slightly out of place, so it wasnt seating properly against the guide directly underneath the cover.
I loosened the cover bolts and lifted the cover 20 mm or so before re-seating it.
      Problem solved !!
