I have just bought a 1982 gs1100e and it has an intermitent valvetrain noise or could be coming from lower in the engine.[sounds like valve train clatter] the bike runs great and this noise does not effect the way it runs or drives. could anyone give me any suggestions on the way to proceed on this noise. the only other problem this bike has is the normal clutch slip and higher rpm's. I am also looking for a shop that could give this motor a performance rebuild. Thank you for any help you all could give me. Wayne

Ihave not adjusted the valves yet I was told that thes were adusted by the man that sold me the bike. I am waaiting on a shop manual to get the specs on the valve trainComment
