    rear conversion

I have an 80' GS1100ET and was pondering a rear conversion to Direct Drive. I searched and didn't see anything in the forums. Is it reasonably possible? Is the frame and swingarm the same? Would the 'transfer case'(whatever that area is called where the drive sporcket is) bolt onto a chain drive engine?

    Just thinkin'

    NO...NO...and I don't think so.

Anything can be done if money and time are of no importance.

You would be much better off finding a shaft drive bike and selling the chainer you have...

Yeah, I like that line. Many members of the 'chain gang' would not agree that you would be better off with a shaft,
but I think they would concede that, if you wanted a shaft, that would be the way to do it.

That's exactly what I thought, just thought I would ask.

        Thanks,
