    Gs1100g electrics

    hello i'm pete from england
    i've had this great bike for15 years now,it does everything i want,handles superb takes corners better than any other bike i rode,Ive had to change stator every 2/3years ,just fitted new one, is there anyway i can change wiring to stop this happennig .the lights are on all the time.the bike origanally came from california.the bike is part of me now so i wont be selling it,can anyone help

    You should thoroughly clean all your electrical connections. Make sure your R/R is grounded directly to the negative battery terminal. A stator should last more than 2/3 years.

        In addition to making sure you have a battery ground add a frame ground to the R/R (-). Also make sure that you pass the tests in the revised stator pages. Specifically test the voltage drops in steps #2 and #3 of Phase A.

          thanks all for your help .think ive found the problem ,checking wiring ealier i found two wires comming up from stator yellow and blue and white badly damaged and sparking on frame .repaired it cleaned up other connections .everythings working great again thanx all
