Exhaust question
I took a closer look at the 4-into-1 exhaust that came with the bike and I measured the header outlet diameter (2"3/4) and the muffler inlet diameter (3"). They seem a bit large since I was considering getting a different slip on at some time in the future. It looks like the muffler was welded together but is that the regular size for the header outlet? Here are some pics.

Depends on the brand, different brands have different size outlets. V&H, years ago shipped theirs with 2 or 3 different restrictors, so you could change the outlet size. Bigger they were, more high RPM power, smaller the outlet, or restrictor, more bottom end torque. Yosh, I think was biggest, apprx. 3 in.1983 GS1100E, 1983 CB1100F, 1991 GSX1100G, 1996 Kaw. ZL600 Eliminator, 1999 Bandit 1200S, 2005 Bandit 1200S, 2000 Kaw. ZRX 1100

Where did you find those and what bike/s are they supposed to fit?
Their website is having some difficulties. I cannot find a dealer in the states.
Got a link to someone that sells them?
Thanks,
Eric

Eric, they are on e-bay. I'm too worried about putting the bike together for now but I'll probably give them serious consideration when funds are more abundant.

They would probably sound great on your bike! I run an automotive glass-pack on my 1085 and it has a nice deep tone to it. Plus, it was cheap!

I think I prefer the look of the dual exhaust better than just the one. Would it be possible to use the header that I have now (in the pic at top) and convert it into a 4-1-2?

The Ducati Sport Classic Sport 1000 has both pipes on the right side, stacked on top of each other.
