    clutch cover gasket?

Does the clutch cover gasket require any silicone or adhesive on either side during install?

according to the manual the answer is no... but I've had so many oil leaks that I always use a thin layer of high temperature silicone on both sides of the cover gaskets. that way they are also easier to remove and reuse.

I always use a very thin coat of non-hardening gasket sealer (mostly silicone), just so it is tacky. saves any potential leak, particulalry since I reue gaskets until they fall to pieces!

i've had good luck with both gasket and RTV for quite a while now.

if the gasket is in bad shape though, i'd suggest scraping it off, and using just RTV. if its in good shape, use both, it wont hurt.
