That large loop in the tubing is acting like a trap and holding the fluid. Try a shorter piece of tubing and most likely the fluid will be gone.

Tnx for the tip, but i dont understand why there is gasoline there at all. Obviously to me is that this new petcock leaks. The fuel is coming from the tank. The question is if somebody else have tested their petcock with a clear tube and can confirm that mine must be leaking. Cylinder no 2 is not running perfect and takes longer time to heat the exhoust-pipe then the others.

The vacuum source is exposed to fuel/air mixture so it's not surprising that there is some fuel in there. Moisture condenses in the line as well; my mercury sync gauge lines collect the same clear fluid mixture every time they are used. Get rid of that loop, install the line, and go ride.

It is possible you have a defective new petcock.

Test it, draw a vacuum on the vacuum port on the petcock, there should be no leakage of fuel or air into the line. Use a clear line to test, you will see if fuel is flowing down the line.

A leaky diaphragm is one of the common failure modes for these petcocks, but usually not until they have sat unused for years. Either air leaks in through the opening where you switch prime/on or fuel actually leaks through the diaphragm itself, whether from an actual pinhole in the rubber or from corrosion in the metal around the diaphragm.

If you have an actual vacuum pump it will pull about ten times the vacuum that you can do by sucking, much closer to the vacuum the engine makes when running, and more likely to find a small leak. Something like a Mighty Vac or you can use a syringe or some home made apparatus.

Pull your fuel line and see if fuel is flowing. I just installed a petcock like that, and it came out of the box in the prime position. It was a PITA to adjust so it would shut off with no vacuum. I'm going to find a better petcock, I don't trust that one.
