Thanks, Just got the bike for free (not running), and I drained the oil and I filled an empty milk jug plus 1/3 of another one. Thought it was just slightly over filled. LOL - thanks again - Mike

Does that oil smell like gas at all? It is not uncommon for these bikes to fill the crankcase with fuel. It runs down the vacuum line from the petcock to the no2 carb, which in turn runs into the cylinder, past the rings and into your oil. It could also follow the more conventional route if your petcock isn't shutting off the flow or is left on prime and one or more of your floats are stuck.

Yes, the oil does smell like gas. If the gas going from the petcock, thru the vacuum line, into the number 2 carb, how can this problem be fixed, and what causes this problem? - mike
