    Oop! Got off the deep end!

    Back to reality, I got a very pretty bike in the garage that could use a little freshening up to bring back the power it had when new. And not much buck$. Just replacing the rings and lapping the valves will about do me. Bigger pistons sounds fab!
    I have considerable respect for the Suzuki engineers. An over bore kit engineered for the 550 engine would be more reliable than a basement experiment.
    Still, Great work Nerobro and Skreemer! I'd like to read an update on your project bike's long term results.

      If it is down on power, look somewhere else. Your compression numbers are not that low.

        I just saw a nice blue 650EZ on ebay. I think it only weighs 20lb. more than the 550, but has a good 20 HP more.
        Not ready to buy one yet, but I wish I'd have known more about them last year.

          Put any information that you have to make your bike look great in here.
