Parts 9 & 10 - prob outside
Yes points down to the floor at around a 20-30 degree angle.

The mount of the cable is actually slightly forward and I don't even have that washer installed.1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

Maybe - I have a friend who girlfriend lives up there now so could possibly pick it up...

It runs fine, went there in July. I put the battery in and it fired up immediately, everything works. Rode it around the little farm lanes thirty miles or so. Perfect.

I say install the speedo cable while the axle assembly is loose, then adjust to whatever makes the most sense for the cable. On my L, the cable nut is close to the fork leg and just about impossible to turn when the speedometer is at a good angle for the cable.Dogma
