Will the GSX 700ES engine will fit straight into the 750ES?

Do anyone know if the GSX 700ES engine will fit straight into the 750ES?

The 700ES engine is American spec, so would the wiring be different to my Japenese spec 750ES?

How about the carbs? Would the jet needles etc be different? Is it simply too expensive and too much messing around to fit the 700 motor?

    Any thoughts? Help .

I think they would fit. The Chassis is the same I believe. I think they changed the bore to get around the silly taxation laws at the time & changed the cam profile to somewhat compensate for the loss of CC's.

Carb settings should be VERY similar if not identical.

      Thank you Mr Monk .

I was just wondering if it was worth the hassle. Would I have to re-jig the carbs? Would they fit? Are the exhaust port's size the same? Many questions.

The current lump drinks oil at an alarming rate of knots so I'm debating whether it's worth checking out the top-end. New rings/ pistons top-end gasket set re-bore that's very expensive .

I'm 99% sure it's the same engine just with different bore & cams so all your stuff should fit & carbs will probably work as is....
