What does the brown wire go???

While putting the original headlight and turn signals, I came across a brown wire that I couldn't figure out. It didn't seem to go anywhere. It was plugged into the connector to the fairing, but the wiring diagram seems to support the fact that it goes nowhere, or does it? I've never been too proficient in reading a wiring diagram.

Goes into the headlight bucket and remains unattached. Its an aux power wire for running secondary lights, etc etc..

In your fairing, it would have run the yellow marker lights beside the headlight.
Without the fairing, it's up to you to decide what it will power.

By the way, there is no apparent problem with your schematic-reading skills.

Thanks guys, maybe I'll get one of those police lights for when I'm in a hurry.

Where did you get that color wiring diagram?

It's in the back of my Clymer from 1985. It's got diagrams for all of GS750 fours from 1977-1982.

I have the Haynes.....black and white diagrams. Much prefer the color.
Thanks, Guess I'll get the Clymer or some crayons

Check BassCliff's site. He has some diagrams that are in color.
