Help with '81 GS 400L

:? Can't get my bike to run properly. Not very mechanical. Replaced 1 igintion coil, spark plugs and caps as 1 of the cylinders does not fire. Live in the Edmonton Alberta area. Really need help. I'd love to be able to ride. Can anyone volunteer some time to come out and help? :?

are you getting spark on the cylinder that wont fire? pull the boot off, add a spark plug, ground it on the engine block, and crank the engine over. see if it sparks.

if you get spark, you're not running because of a fuel problem then.

Thanks for the tip Adam. However my problem lies not with the fuel. I do not get a spark after completing that test. Any other suggestions?

check for voltage to the coil in question
