sometimes they are pretty tight. Straighten a coathanger, bend a tight hook on both ends, slide both ends (hooks) down in the baffel & hook opposite sides of the tube. Put a hammer handle thru the "U", sticking out, so you can get a good grip, & yank like heck.1983 GS1100E, 1983 CB1100F, 1991 GSX1100G, 1996 Kaw. Hey guys just an update I picked up some rolled insulation and one wrap around the baffle. It sounds great, I ordered some of the "special" insulation at my local dealer for about 14 cdn..lol...and will put it in when it arrives. I don't want the rust factor to come into play. I was frustrated with the idle but putting the insulation helped balance the bike out it's running great... now I have to hope the winter stays away.
Just a note I had a little problem getting the baffle out, a coat hanger and a little nut loosening spray (over priced WD)and it popped right out...
