Rapid Ray and other engine builders

    ok here's the question
i have this beautiful welded and balanced crank and it has some scoring on the starter clutch end (see the pic) is it serviceable
or should i have it repaired and re-machined before i install it.
this is the only thing wrong with it other than this it's perfect and has about 20,000 KM on it max
i want to use it in my motor when i install an MTC 1055 kit compression is 12:1 so I'll need 94 octane to run it
but what do you think about the crank????

That is where the 2 bearings ride & I would have it polished & see how it looks after that. I think it can be made to work. Also, I have never heard of a 1055 piston kit. I am a WD dealer for CP Pistons if you ever need some made to your specs. A CUSTOM made set with all the bells & whistles, made to YOUR specs, with pins, clips, & rings would only be 700 bucks. You might find cheaper but you won't find BETTER! Ray.

That would be a 2mm over GS1000 kit. 72mm or 1055cc for a GS1000. MTC used to make them in the day and had several still on the shelf a few years back. Dar
